About DizyFi
A music platform built to give power back to artists and their local communities.
Our story
DizyFi started with a simple frustration: why does it cost nothing to listen to a million songs but pay almost nothing to the people who made them?
The streaming economy has made music more accessible than ever — and simultaneously made it nearly impossible to sustain a career making it, unless you're already famous. The per-stream payout is a fraction of a penny. The discovery algorithm rewards what already has attention. The platform owns the relationship with your fans.
We wanted to build something different. Not another app competing for catalogue deals and monthly active users. Something structural — a protocol that lets artists own the full stack, from the file on their hard drive to the stream in a listener's ear.
DizyFi is that protocol. It's not a startup trying to grow fast and extract value. It's infrastructure — open, federated, and designed to get out of the way.
Mission
“To make it economically viable to be a local musician — by making the tools of distribution free, open, and owned by the people who use them.”
